This OEM O-ring is very special, O-Rings for engines have to be heat, oil and fuel resistant. Not all are created equal. Stay away from natural rubber O-Rings when heat is involved.Sometimes I use non OEM O-ring becuse I coudn't find Yamaha OEM O-ring at local shop ,had bad experience of leaking oil through the exhaust side valve cover.Doesn't matter how much but leak is a leak.This OEM O-RING CAN BE USE FOR VERY LONG TIME .price is so cheap too.the o-ring is supposed to stick up above the surface.
