Is an Evotech radiator guard necessary?
An Evotech radiator guard protects the Harley Davidson Sportster S radiator from light and severe damage caused by road debris, while allowing cooling air to pass through. The Harley Davidson radiator consists of thin cooling fins and internal cores; the fins can bend and block airflow, leading to overheating and reduced engine performance. Internal cores can be punctured by debris, such as stones flung by the front tire or traffic, resulting in rapid engine overheating. If coolant leaks onto the tires, it can cause loss of grip.
